The ‘International Society for Ethnopharmacology’ (ISE) is and international scientific organization of researchers dedicated to the interdisciplinary study of the pharmacological actions of plants, animals, insects,  and other organisms used in medicines of indigenous and modern, past and present, cultures. The ISE is also committed to the preservation and conservation of such practices for future generations. The objective of the ISE is to promote ethnopharmacology as a scientific field of research. The Journal is dedicated to the exchange of information and understandings about people’s use of plants, fungi, animals, microorganisms and minerals and their biological and pharmacological effects based on the principles established through international convention.
